As the unemployment rate falls in Denver, Colorado Business Women are back with their monthly lunch series. The organization aims to provide a community for encouragement and professional development of Colorado’s business women. If you’re looking for a network that supports strong women, look no further than this group.
Who are the Colorado Business Women?
The Colorado Business Women is Colorado’s premiere women-focused professional organization. Their mission is simple: to foster collaboration, education, support, and community between all of the professional business women in the state.
In order to achieve these goals, they meet monthly at their luncheons and for other events, like self-defense classes or professional development. They also partner yearly with their Charity of Choice, which focuses on advancing the presence, rights, and equality of women in the workplace.
In essence, this organization looks to support women and help them succeed in whichever professional industry they choose, which is one of the reasons why they offer this monthly lunch series.
What is the monthly luncheon?
Every second Wednesday of the month, Colorado Business Women hosts a a lunch from 11-1 at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Englewood near the Denver Tech Center. Beginning at 11am, attendees can network with other influential business women. Then, enjoy a meal accompanied by a wonderful speaker series designed to educate and encourage. There is also usually some surprising fun at each event, like bingo or raffles–just the organization’s way of celebrating its members at each meeting.
In order to take full advantage of these lunches, consider becoming a member of CBW. Membership lowers the cost of the lunches and garners you several marketing opportunities, a listing in their directory, the opportunity to be a speaker at the lunch series, and lower-price admission to DTC Chamber local meetings.
If you can’t become a member right now, not to worry! The monthly luncheon is open to any professional business woman for a slightly higher price. It’s also best to register in advance, as the price increases the day-of.
The $25 early registration fee or $35-$40 day-of fee is well worth the price. For the cost of admission, you have the opportunity to network across all industries with women looking to support each other, the chance to learn from women in various industries during the speaker series, as well as a delicious meal.
